What Happened to the History Channel on DirecTV

As of July 2019, the History Channel is no longer available on DIRECTV. This is due to a contract dispute between the two companies. DIRECTV has said that they offered the History Channel a “fair” deal, but the channel’s parent company, A+E Networks, was not happy with the offer.

As a result, the channel was pulled from DIRECTV’s lineup. This is unfortunate news for history buffs who subscribed to DIRECTV in order to watch shows like The Curse of Oak Island and Ancient Aliens. However, there are still other ways to watch the History Channel.

You can stream it on Hulu with Live TV or Sling TV. You can also purchase a digital antenna, which will give you access to over-the-air channels like the History Channel (assuming it’s available in your area). We hope that this issue gets resolved soon so that DIRECTV subscribers can once again enjoy watching the History Channel.
